WHAT IS POSITIVE LEADERSHIP?
At Positive Leadership Solutions, positive psychological principles are used to help leaders, teams and organizations successfully meet goals, increase profitability, and enhance effectiveness. By focusing on strengths, people take responsibility for creating exceptional teams and organizations.

Central to understanding positive leadership is the positive psychology movement. Positive Psychology is a branch of psychology that uses scientific principles to understand what makes people healthy and helps them thrive. Positive Psychologists research positive emotions such as happiness or hope and positive individual traits such as wisdom or social intelligence. They might also focus on how groups or organizations build better communities and healthy places to work; often referred to as Positive Organizational Scholarship or Positive Organizational Behaviour. A central element of Positive Psychology is that it is research-based, not simply a set of “feel good” ideas.

Positive Leadership focuses on relationships, not roles.
Every person has the potential to be a positive force in the workplace or community. Positive Leaders consistently match their values and beliefs to building something that improves their world. A high tide raises all boats.

People in organizations can work towards building a truly exceptional workplace (see below), but often miss the opportunity. This oversight costs the organization, the employees and the community. Through assessment, self-reflection and executive coaching, you can learn to improve and create a workplace that attracts great employees, managers and clients.
